General Information
What is IDU? It is the abbreviation of InterDisciplinary Unit.
It allows you to understand a real-life topic through different subjects areas and prepares you to solves problems and create products from different perspectives. (IBO)
When is it?
24 June (Wednesday), 25 June (Thursday) and 26 June (Friday)
What are Y6 Kite group doing in these 3 days? 1. Seminar / talk / workshop: provided by a specialist from the "HK Sky Kite Association" 2. Research, design and create 2D and group kites (串鳶) applying Chinese traditional styles (criterion A) and based on a study of history, technology and design, mathematics and science. 3. Test and improve your kite. 4. To fly your kite and have kite flying competition. 5. Students produce a piece of literary work on the experience of making and flying the kite (criterion A) 6. Students write reflections to describe the benefits and limitations of disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge in specific situations and evaluates strengths and limitations of the interdisciplinary learning process (Criterion D).

Purpose of integration: Respond to a clear aim for which perspectives must be brought together to create a product. 達到一個必須匯集各種觀點才能實現的明確目標(解決一個問題、創造一件作品、建構一種解釋、滿足一種需要)。
